Eastern American Youth Choir visits Holy Trinity

On Sunday, May 30, parishioners of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church prayed at the Great Consecration of St Basil of Ostrog Serbian Orthodox Church in Kernersville, North Carolina. As the relationship between the two parishes thorughout the years has become fraternal, the event was all the more joyous. At the Divine Liturgy, which was officiated by His Eminence Metropolitan Christopher of Libertyville and Chicago, the hymns were sung by the diocesan youth choir of the Eastern American diocese of ROCOR, which includes youth from thourghout our diocese, including our own parish.

On Monday, May 31, choir members stopped at Holy Trinity on their way back up to the Northeast. After beginning their journey and the Apostles' Fast with morning prayers, they were warmly greeted by parish secretary Aleksandr Andreev, who discussed the history of the parish.
