On Sunday, February 17, a group of our parishioners prayed at the Divine Liturgy at St Basil of Ostrog Serbian Orthodox Church in Kernersville, North Carolina.

On this tragic day, the Albanian leadership of Kosovo declared their independence from Serbia. After the Liturgy, Fr Dragan served a moleben (service of intercession) to the Most-Holy Theotokos for all the Orthodox Christians living in Kosovo.

After the moleben, Fr Dragan expressed his gratitude to our group for chanting the Liturgy, remarking that the Holy Spirit had sent us, Russians, for the comforting of the Serbs that day.

Our small group was glad to offer moral support to our Serbian brothers. After the Liturgy and the moleben, the group toured the site of the new Serbian church being constructed in Kernersville, expected to be consecrated in the autumn of 2008.
