Saturday and Sunday, August 20-21 the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, Metropolitan of Eastern America and New York, Hilarion has visited the Holy Trinity church in Maben, NC. He was assisted at the Divine Liturgy by the dean of the church hieromonk Gabriel, archpriest Alexander Logunov (dean of the Derjavnaya Mother of God church, archdeacon Dionisiy Lvov (cleric of the Church of the Holy Sign-painter of New York) deacon John Makarov (cleric of  the Derjavnaya Mother of God church) and deacon Andrey Zavalin (st. Innocent mission in Nashville, TN).

On the Small Entry the dean hieromonk Gabriel was raised to hegumen by the Holy Synod appointment. The Divine Service was accompanied by reverential singing of the church choir lead by the cantor Andrey Semyanko.

After the service parish members served a trapeza. Then the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad had spiritual conversations with perishers. The Holy Trinity parish greatly appreciates the fatherly love Metropolitan Hilarion expresses at every visit.
